Will the Global Financial Crisis Change the Development Paradigm?
Abstract
The origin, depth and severity of the current global financial crisis and the speed with which it has spread around the globe are likely to lead to profound changes in the way that policymakers throughout the world think about development policy. The effects of the crisis on the international development policy, global economic governance and the opportunity it gives to protect the poor and the planet are discussed.
