Women and CBNRM in Namibia. A Case Study of the IRDNC Community Resource Monitor Project.

Abstract

This case study is based upon a visit to East Caprivi, Namibia in April, 2001. During this visit interviews were carried out with IRDNC [Integrated Rural Development for Nature Conservation, a local NGO] project staff and women involved in the community resource monitor (CRM) project. The report discusses communal-area conservancies in Namibia, and the involvement of women.
