The government is committed to putting in place a package of measures to tackle bovine tuberculosis (bTB).
First published during the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government
This sets out a comprehensive and balanced package of measures to tackle TB in cattle, badgers and other animals.
We invited comments - to be considered alongside the responses to the 2010 public consultation - before taking a decision on whether to proceed with a policy of badger control.
Policy proposals for controlling bovine tuberculosis (bTB) in cattle include a range of options for badger management by culling and/or vaccination.
