How to sign in to continue your visa application
If you’ve started a UK visa application, you can sign back in to continue your application.
You need to have entered your email address in your visa application.
To sign back in:
-
Find your registration email.
-
Follow the link in the email.
-
Enter your sign in details.
You may not be able to sign in if you’ve not returned to your application for over 10 weeks.
Find your registration email
Your registration email will be from UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). It’s sent to the email address you entered in your visa application.
The email subject line will be either:
- UK visa application: sign in details
- Your UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account has been created
You’ll find the sign in link in the email.
If you cannot find the email in your inbox, check your junk or spam folder.
If you do not have your registration email or sign in link
If you were told to prove your identity in person at an appointment, you will need to start a new application. UKVI cannot resend the email or link to you.
If you were told to prove your identity using the “UK Immigration: ID check” app, you will have a UKVI account. You can recover your account. You will then be able to continue your application.
Enter your sign in details
After you follow the link in your email, you will be prompted to enter either:
- your password, if you created one
- details from the identity document you used in your application (passport, national identity card, or biometric residence card or permit) and your date of birth
If you created a password
Your password will be at least 10 characters long and contain at least 3 of the following:
- an uppercase letter
- a lowercase letter
- a number
- a symbol
If you’ve forgotten your password there’s a link to reset it.
