About HighGround

HighGround aims to improve the employment and wellbeing prospects of serving personnel, reservists and veterans by leveraging the green environment as a space for growth, recovery and opportunity.

Their programmes are designed to help the successful transition of military personnel into land-based sectors through a range of specialised pathways.

They offer:

• hands-on experience in the land-based sector, such as farming, forestry and other green industries
• support and mentorship in developing relevant skills, such as arboriculture, blacksmithing and forestry
• remote learning opportunities, such as interactive webinars and expert-led discussions
• a bespoke programme designed to support female veterans in transitioning into teaching roles within the land-based sector
• horticulture therapy delivered in partnership with the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Stanford Hall
