National Gulf Veterans and Families Association

The National Gulf Veterans and Families Association is a charity that aims to improve the quality of life for all veterans of desert conflicts and their families, partners and carers.

The National Gulf Veterans and Families Association (NGVFA) has built up a wide range of services targeted to the needs of its members. These include:

  • welfare and advocacy
  • giving help and advice on a wide range of issues relevant to everyday living and previous military service
  • help with War Pensions, benefit claims and appeals
  • information and support regarding medical problems
  • a listening ear when you just need to talk
  • Tribunal representation (unavailable to Associate members)
  • appeals relating to War Pensions
  • appeals relating to other benefits (for example, Disability Living Allowance)
  • help preparing and discussing the case prior to an appeal
  • attending on the day as a representative to help put your case over to the panel
  • free helpline number (unavailable to Associate members)
  • fact sheets and guides
  • a quarterly newsletter
  • members-only website area

New members will receive a welcome pack on joining.

They can also make a referral to counselling services on your behalf.
