SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity helps the armed forces community in a number of ways.

Their main focus is on providing direct support to individuals in need of physical or emotional care. This can include issues such as:

  • addiction
  • relationship breakdown
  • financial difficulties
  • homelessness
  • mental health
  • disability

Through their worldwide network of branches, community teams and specialist services, they have more than 2,500 volunteers, which includes trained SSAFA caseworkers who can provide personalised support to those in their local area.

Their trained welfare advisers and volunteers can help veterans and their families access the support they need. Whether it’s financial, practical or emotional support, they can provide a trusted source of assistance in times of need.
