About Step Together Volunteering

Step Together Volunteering is a charity that supports veterans, service leavers and personnel on recovery duty in finding volunteering opportunities. Support is offered on a one-to-one basis from a dedicated support worker. The volunteering placements they offer are designed to align with personal interests and future plans.

They accept

  • self-referrals through their website
  • referrals from other agencies supporting veterans
  • referrals directly from armed forces staff, such as welfare and recovery officers

Their support focuses on helping build confidence, skills and links to the community outside the armed forces to support either a successful return to work or transition to civilian life.

They can help identify future training and career pathways, and there is no time limit to the support on offer.

Step Together Volunteering operates nationally, with a head office in Bristol.
