The Armed Forces Outreach Service is a local authority and housing provider partnership service covering Newcastle, Gateshead and County Durham in the North East of England.

• Community and social: LGBT+ support, Women veterans support

The Armed Forces Outreach Service acts as the main conduit between serving military personnel, veterans, serving reservists and family members in regard to any issues involving their local authority in the Newcastle, Gateshead and County Durham areas.

They can assist and guide with issues relating to:

• housing
• debt management
• mental health
• employment
• education and training
• pensions and benefits

All staff are also SSAFA caseworkers, allowing them to assist with cases for financial assistance should this be required.
