The Bolton Guild of Help

The Bolton Guild of Help provides financial, material and pastoral support to the Bolton military family.

Working exclusively within the Borough of Bolton, the Guild provides help in many ways, including:

  • the provision of emergency food parcels
  • assistance with electrical and building repairs
  • funding to help provide or repair mobility aids
  • assistance with rent arrears
  • information, advice and guidance regarding benefit entitlements, debt and other financial matters
  • the provision of white goods (washing machines, cookers and fridge/freezers) and furniture
  • access to mental health support teams
  • Christmas gift vouchers for children
  • school uniforms
  • assistance with energy costs
  • referrals to military charities, such as SSAFA the Armed Forces charity and the Royal British Legion
  • access to their veterans/community support drop-in centre every Thursday morning at the Bridge Café in Bolton
  • opportunities for veterans and their families to join in their comradeship events
