The Ripple Pond

The Ripple Pond supports adult family members of physically or psychologically injured UK armed forces personnel and veterans.

The Ripple Pond is a UK-wide charity that provides support services for those connected to the UK armed forces personnel and veterans who have been physically or psychologically injured.

Members include:

  • spouses and partners
  • parents
  • siblings
  • chosen family
  • extended family members
  • friends
  • anyone closely connected to someone who has sustained injuries or trauma due to their military service

They offer a safe, confidential space for people to connect with others who have shared similar experiences. Their services include one-to-one support, group meetings and online forums, allowing members to share their stories, seek advice and build resilience through mutual support.

They can provide knowledge and information to help members better understand and navigate the various support systems available. This includes directing to relevant specialist support and services where appropriate.

Additionally, they offer an employment support pathway to help carers enter the workforce or improve their employment situation. This service is delivered in partnership with providers, including The Poppy Factory, and includes career advice, skills development and job placement assistance.

They also collaborate with the NHS and other health providers across the UK, including partnerships with NHS Op COURAGE, to ensure comprehensive support. Through an extensive network, The Ripple Pond fosters a community where every member feels understood, valued and equipped to face the difficulties they encounter.
