The Royal Alfred Seafarers' Society

Based in Banstead, Sussex, the Royal Alfred Seafarers' Society is a charity supporting ageing seafarers, veterans and their loved ones with nursing and dementia care alongside sheltered accommodation.

About the Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society

The Royal Alfred provides long and short-term nursing care to seafarers, veterans and their loved ones.

They care for residents with dementia in their specialised dementia annex that is centred around a peaceful and sheltered internal courtyard.

Their accommodation includes en-suite wet rooms, activity rooms and a state-of-the art sensory room to support delivery of care. Alongside the care they provide, they also aim to provide a culture that fosters camaraderie and celebrates individuality.

With space to uniquely personalise each bedroom and flat, a lively bar scene where stories are shared and friendships are forged, and peaceful gardens that offer a serene retreat, residents and tenants can enjoy an environment designed to suit their needs.
