Interns recruitment procedure
All internship opportunities in Belgium are advertised openly on our website and all such appointments are made on merit following the recruitment process, including interviews and security clearance. We consider all applications and invite a selection of candidates for interview. Only those selected for interview will be contacted. All invited candidates can expect a competency-based interview conducted in English by a panel of staff. Interviews may also include a short practical exercise testing specific skills required for each role.
We do not offer any exclusive arrangements or ad-hoc agreements with any academic institution or similar organisation for the provision of internships which would exclude other eligible candidates from accessing the advertised opportunity. We encourage all interest in our posted internship opportunities.
Applicant for local internships should specify if they will be funded through the Erasmus, Leonardo program or Erasmus plus (for UK-based students). Occasionally we will also offer paid internships. Additionally, UK-based students should reference the experience page on the FCDO website. Potential interns in the UK have access to a range of centrally run schemes, including with the FCDO. Internship applications are welcome regardless of age, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability. We aim to reflect the diversity of society.
