Getting to the embassy
Metro is the most convenient public transport you can use to get to the embassy. There are two metro lines in Minsk. The stations are announced in Belarusian. If you are on Line 1, the nearest station to the embassy is Kastrychnitskaya (Oktyabrskaya in Russian). If you use Line 2, it’s Kupalauskaya (Kupalovskaya).
Parking
There is no parking space in front of the embassy. The nearest available parking is about 100 m from the main entrance on Lenin Street.
Security
You enter the embassy from the main entrance near the security booth and our Consular office from a nearby, separate entrance near the policemen’s booth. Our Security guard and/or Receptionist should know to expect you.
Visitors to the embassy will have to go through the security checkpoints at the entrance. Mobile phones and electronic devices are not allowed into the embassy. You’ll be asked to turn them off and leave them at the Reception. It is not allowed to use mobile phones in our Consular office waiting room. Only handbags and briefcases are allowed into the embassy and/or our Consular office. All bags are usually security checked.
We’d be grateful for you co-operation with our security team, because all our security measures are for the benefit of all visitors and staff.
Disabled access
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office and our embassy are keen to ensure that their buildings and services are fully accessible to disabled members of the public. Wherever possible, we have made our buildings and services accessible.
- entrances are clear and unobstructed
- there are steps at the entrance to the embassy and Consular office; access to different floors is via a staircase internally
- a mobile ramp is available
- floor coverings are safe and even
- lighting is good
- guide dogs are welcome
