The British diplomatic presence in Zagreb consists of the British Embassy in Zagreb. Staff at the mission fall into two groups:
- UK-based staff: career diplomatic staff, employed directly by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) in London, and sent to work at posts abroad for periods of 3-5 years
- Locally employed staff: local residents, employed in accordance with local employment law and practices

Please be aware that there are limited opportunities for promotion or progression, however, staff are encouraged to apply for other vacancies within the Embassy as they arise.
