General information

The British diplomatic presence in Zagreb consists of the British Embassy in Zagreb. Staff at the mission fall into two groups:

  • UK-based staff: career diplomatic staff, employed directly by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) in London, and sent to work at posts abroad for periods of 3-5 years
  • Locally employed staff: local residents, employed in accordance with local employment law and practices
