Summary:

The pilot carried out a flight between Cambridge and Nayland Airfield. On arrival at Nayland, where the forecast wind was 090/13 kt, he assessed the conditions and made an approach to Runway 32. This runway is 600 metres (1,968 feet) in length, and is undulating with an overall steep upslope; the grass surface was wet. The pilot reported that as he landed a squall in the area caused an increase in the wind speed. He was unable to stop the aircraft before the end of the runway so deliberately ground looped to avoid going through the hedge.
