Check if you can access your eVisa

To access your eVisa now, you must have permission to stay in the UK:

  • for longer than 6 months
  • which was granted in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland (not the Channel Islands or Isle of Man)

You also need to have a certain type of immigration document.

If you do not, you’ll need to set up your eVisa later on.

Use this table to check if you can replace your physical immigration document with an eVisa now.

  • you have a form for affixing a visa (FAV)
  • you do not have or were never given an immigration document

Who does not need access to an eVisa

  • intend to stay in the UK for 6 months or less, including if you’re working
  • were granted your immigration status in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man
  • are exempt from immigration control, including if you’re a diplomat or have ‘right of abode’

For example, you will not need to get access to an eVisa if you have:
