Detail of outcome
This document provides a summary of the responses received and the government’s response to the points raised in the consultation on the social housing green paper and call for evidence on social housing regulation.
This is published alongside the charter for social housing residents: social housing white paper, which confirms the actions we will take across government as a result of this consultation to deliver a better deal for social housing residents.
Original call for evidence
Call for evidence description
The social housing green paper sets out our intention to carry out a review of regulation of social housing to ensure it remains fit for purpose, reflects changes in the social housing sector and drives a focus on delivering a good service for residents.
This call for evidence asks for information on how the regulatory regime is meeting its current objectives – both what works well and what does not. Alongside questions in the green paper it marks the first stage in the review process.
We are keen to hear from a wide range of interested parties including residents, landlords and lenders.
