UK international development white paper: call for evidence
Detail of outcome
The International Development white paper published in November 2023 provided a diagnosis of global challenges, and examples of how the UK can respond to these, across 7 different areas.
The Development Review, launched in September 2024 and led by Baroness Minouche Shafik, will consider areas of focus for the UK’s development effort in a constrained resource environment, based on the UK’s specific strengths and the strengths of our partners. It will build on these wide-ranging development consultations conducted for the white paper in 2023.
A summary of responses to the call for evidence was published on 31 October 2024.
Original call for evidence
Call for evidence description
The UK government will publish a white paper on international development by the end of 2023. This will set out our approach to international development to 2030.
This call for evidence was part of wider engagement with UK and international stakeholders about the white paper. It closed on 16 September 2023.
Thank you to everyone who contributed. We intend to make the responses to this call for evidence publicly available alongside publishing the white paper before the end of 2023.
