The final report sets out the Airports Commission’s:
- assessment of the 3 shortlisted options for expanding the UK’s aviation capacity
- recommendations to government as to which of the options best addresses the UK’s capacity and connectivity needs
A business case and sustainability assessment containing the supporting evidence base has been published alongside the final report.

Consideration of consultation responses
The Airports Commission has also published ‘Consideration of consultation responses’ and ‘Consideration of air quality consultation responses’. These provide an overview of the consultation responses received and explain how it has responded to the points made. Alongside these reports the Airports Commission has also published a further analytical report on responses to the consultation produced by its consultants.
