Financial technology (FinTech) review
Review looking at the future of financial technologies up to 2025.
Financial technology, also known as FinTech, is a sector based on using innovative technologies to make financial systems more efficient. It covers everything from commodities trading and international money transfers to retail banking and mobile payments.
With a market estimated to be worth £20 billion in annual revenue, the UK and Ireland is the fastest growing region for FinTech investment within the EU.
This review, commissioned by the Chancellor, explores how we can further exploit the potential of the sector. It recommends actions for government to maximise the opportunities and reduce the risks of FinTech.
