Green Deal assessment research
Research on the Green Deal assessment experience and what households have done and plan to do since having the assessment.
DECC commissioned GfK NOP to conduct three surveys on samples of households who have had a Green Deal Assessment in order to find out more about the experience, and what households have done and plan to do since having the assessment. These are referred to as “assessment surveys” below.
- wave one of the assessments research focused on assessments between launch (28 January) and 31 March 2013 (published 25 June 2013)
- wave two of the assessments research focused on assessments between 01 April and 30 June 2013 (published 17 September 2013)
- wave three of the assessments research focused on assessments between 01 June and 31 August 2013 (published 16 December 2013)
As part of the Green Deal and ECO evaluation, DECC commissioned GfK NOP (with ICF International) to conduct further waves of research with households who have had a Green Deal Assessment. The research built upon the earlier assessments research in order to find out about the Green Deal customer journey in greater depth, through a longer survey which again explored the assessment experience, and what households have done and plan to do since having the assessment. These are referred to as “customer journey surveys” below.
- wave one of the customer journey research focused on assessments between 01 October and 31 October 2013 (published 18 December 2014)
- wave two of the customer journey research focused on assessments between 01 January and 31 March 2014 (published 17 June 2014)
- wave three of the customer journey research focused on assessments between 01 April and 30 June 2014 (published 21 October 2014)
- wave four of the customer journey research focused on assessments between 01 June and 30 September 2014 (published 18 December 2014)
- wave five of the customer journey research focused on assessments between 01 October and 31 December 2014 (published 19 March 2015)
In addition to the summary reports from each wave of research, further research findings are presented in the following reports:
- Green Deal assessments research: Full Report - a report discussing findings across waves one to three of the assessments research (published 16 January 2014), supported by a technical report (published 27 January 2014).
- A synthesis report containing further analysis and new findings from waves one to three of the assessments research and wave one of the customer journey research (published 20 March 2014).
