This framework sets out the indicators for measuring outcomes within the health and social care system.
NHS Outcomes Framework
The NHS Outcomes Framework sets out the outcomes and corresponding indicators that will be used to hold NHS England to account for improvements in health outcomes.
Public health outcomes framework
The public health outcomes framework, 2013 to 2016, concentrates on:
- increased healthy life expectancy
- reduced differences in life expectancy and healthy life expectancy between communities
Adult social care outcomes framework
The Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework (ASCOF) measures how well care and support services achieve the outcomes that matter most to people.
Health education outcomes framework
The health education outcomes framework, 2013 to 2014, sets the outcomes that the Secretary of State expects to be achieved from the reformed education and training system. The framework will be used to measure improvements in:
- education, training and workforce development
- impact on the quality and safety of services for patients
