Healthcare-associated infections (HCAI) statistics
Healthcare-associated infections (HCAI) statistics are published monthly, quarterly and annually.
Healthcare-associated infections (HCAI) include Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA), Gram-negative bacteraemia such as Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Klebsiella species (Klebsiella spp.), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) and Clostridioides difficile (C. difficile, or CDI). They also include all bloodstream infections associated with critical care.
In response to user feedback, we are testing alternative ways of presenting the monthly data sets as visualisations on the UKHSA data dashboard. The current data sets will continue to be published as normal and users will be consulted prior to any significant changes. We encourage users to review and provide feedback on the new dashboard content.
