HS2 Phase 2a environmental statement
This collection of documents includes the environmental statement and associated information for HS2 Phase 2a.
The High Speed Two (HS2) Phase 2a environmental statement was produced to accompany the High Speed Rail (West Midlands to Crewe) Bill and outlines:
- the likely significant environmental effects along the route
- measures we will take to manage, reduce and monitor these effects
Our consultation, which closed on 30 September 2017, gave you the chance to comment on the environmental statement. The results (once available) can be viewed on the environmental statement consultation page.
Since deposit of the High Speed Rail (West Midlands to Crewe) Bill, changes and amendments to the Phase 2a scheme have been proposed. The environmental assessment of these changes and amendments are presented in the Supplementary Environmental Statement 1 and Additional Provision 1 Environmental Statement (March 2018) and the Supplementary Environmental Statement 2 and Additional Provision 2 Environmental Statement (February 2019).
