Details

During the construction of High Speed Two (HS2) Phase 2a, it is proposed that six borrow pits will be excavated.

A borrow pit is an excavation dug to provide fill to make up ground elsewhere.

This content has been published as part of the HS2 Phase 2a environmental statement for the route between the West Midlands and Crewe. The environmental statement was produced to accompany the HS2 Phase 2a hybrid Bill.
