Estates of deceased infected beneficiaries
If you are a personal representative of someone who was registered with one of the UK Infected Blood Support Schemes or Alliance House Organisations and has since died - if their death has not yet been recognised by a previous interim compensation payment, you could now be eligible to claim on behalf of their estate for a one off payment of £100,000. Applications for these payments opened in October 2024.

Living infected beneficiaries or bereaved partners registered with one of the existing UK Infected Blood Support Schemes
If you are a person who is infected and eligible to register with one of the existing UK Infected Blood Support Schemes, you may be eligible for up to £310,000 in interim compensation. The first set of interim payments (£100,000) began in October 2022, the second set of interim payments (£210,000) began in June 2024.
If you are a bereaved partner who is eligible to register with an existing UK Infected Blood Support Scheme, you may be eligible for £100,000 in interim compensation. These payments began in October 2022.
Support and compensation for people impacted by the infected blood scandal
The Government recognises that not all people impacted by the infected blood scandal will be eligible for interim payments. Interim payments are in place whilst the Infected Blood Compensation Scheme is established.
