Work-life balance employer survey
Assesses the experiences of employers in managing requests from their employees for leave or alternative working patterns.
Through this survey series, the government assesses the experiences of employers in managing requests from their employees for leave or alternative working patterns. The survey provides a detailed, statistically representative picture of employers’ policies and practice on flexible working and leave arrangements.
The main purpose of collecting this information is to provide evidence for evaluation of government initiatives, particularly those covered by the Work and Families Act 2006. The survey also acts as a good basis for anticipated legislative changes in this area, such as the new system of shared parental leave.
