Original consultation
Consultation description
Following the announcement of the 1st Offshore Carbon Dioxide Storage Licensing Round by the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA), an initial screening assessment (including consultation with the statutory agencies/bodies) of the areas offered was undertaken. The screening identified that 10 of the 13 areas offered would require further assessment (AA), should they be applied for.
The 1st Carbon Storage Licensing Round closed for applications on the 13th September 2022. According to the OGA, applications were received covering the 13 areas offered, and therefore, those 10 areas identified in the screening as requiring further assessment have been subject to AA.
