This consultation forms part of a light touch review of the 6 guidance documents underpinning the Planning Act 2008, which includes guidance on compulsory acquisition of land as well as on:
The guidance on the compulsory acquisition of land has been refreshed to bring it into line with the Localism Act 2011 and has been made more concise in the process. In addition, it clarifies that after the abolition of the Infrastructure Planning Commission, the Planning Inspectorate will handle requests for certification under sections 127, 131 and 132 of the Planning Act 2008.
