Detail of outcome

On 1 May 2014 the government launched a consultation to seek comments and views on the contents of the draft operational programme for the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the 2014 to 2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England.

The ERDF operational programme is the main document for setting out the strategy and priorities for use of the fund to support the Europe 2020 strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. It also contains high level information on how the fund will be delivered, managed and evaluated including partnership and governance arrangements.

A response to the consultation has been produced summarising the main feedback received and details on how this has helped to shape the ERDF operational programme which has been submitted to the European Commission. The response, together with the draft ERDF operational programme submitted to the European Commission, executive summary and supporting assessment reports, are available above. We are seeking views on the draft European Regional Development Fund operational programme for England 2014 to 2020.

Consultation description

This consultation seeks comments and views on the contents of the draft operational programme for the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the 2014 to 2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England.

The European Regional Development Fund operational programme is the main document for setting out the strategy and priorities for use of the fund to support the Europe 2020 strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. It also contains high level information on how the fund will be delivered, managed and evaluated including partnership arrangements.

The UK Partnership Agreement has been published and provides information on how European Structural and Investment Funds are to be used across the UK from 2014 to 2020.

To ensure we provide partners with the opportunity to comment on and provide views on the operational programme, a consultation is being conducted before submission to the European Commission.
