Read the full outcome
Detail of outcome
The government published its response to the HS2 property price support scheme technical consultation in November 2018.
Update on the HS2 property price support scheme
An ‘HS2 land and property: property price support scheme review’ has now (June 2019) also been published. This review summarises research into the suitability, risks and benefits that a property price support scheme could have along the HS2 route. The research follows on from the technical consultation’s original outcome.
The review has concluded that the property price support scheme concept has merit, but that it is not appropriate to introduce in the case of the HS2 project.
The research was conducted between December 2018 and January 2019 in consultation with industry specialists.
