Original consultation
Consultation description
The Wood Review final report made four key recommendations to maximise economic recovery from the UKCS. The Government welcomed the report and is fully committed to implementing its recommendations. In July 2014 the Government announced that the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) would be the new steward and regulator of the UKCS.
To be competent and influential, the OGA will need the tools and capabilities to make effective decisions, and to influence the oil and gas sector in order to implement MER UK (Maximising Economic Recovery from the UKCS) effectively. We are publishing this call for evidence to engage with, and give all relevant, and interested, parties an opportunity to support our policy making to ensure the OGA is effective and efficient. We welcome views and evidence as to how the Wood Review recommendations should be implemented.
