Detail of outcome
This document gives a summary of the consultation responses and the government’s response to them.
The government has decided to replace the legislation on low-alcohol descriptors with guidance.
The guidance on low-alcohol descriptors sets out the descriptors that the alcohol and retail industries are expected to use, which is based on the 4 descriptors that were in the legislation.
