The Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has accepted statutory undertakings from the parties involved in the proposed acquisition of Meggitt plc by Parker-Hannifin and the acquisition will not therefore be referred to the Competition and Markets Authority for a further assessment. Consultation description

The Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy is minded to accept legally binding undertakings offered in the proposed acquisition of Meggitt plc, a UK defence and aerospace company, by Parker-Hannifin, an American motion-control and aerospace corporation.

The draft undertakings are published for consultation in accordance with the process set out in the Enterprise Act 2002. The Secretary of State will consider any representations made before making a decision about whether to accept the undertakings.
