On 19 December 2024, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) published a 10 year review of the competition concurrency arrangements setting out its findings and recommendations, following its review of the competition concurrency arrangements.
The CMA carried out this review 10 years on from a set of reforms to the arrangements introduced by the government, the sector regulators and the CMA.

The CMA has announced it is conducting a review of the competition concurrency arrangements. These are the arrangements in which the CMA and sector regulators share certain competition powers.
The CMA has launched this review with a call for inputs, seeking views on the effectiveness of the concurrency arrangements. The call for inputs document includes further detail on the specific issues on which we would be grateful for responses.
