Consultation description
This publications sets out the governments response to the road user charging schemes (penalty charges, adjudication and enforcement) (England) regulations 2013 consultation.
The department received 60 responses from a range of stakeholders. This response document summarises the main issues raised by respondents and outlines the government’s response to these. We are very grateful to those who took the time to respond to this consultation.
The regulations will allow enforcement actions such as the issuing of penalty charge notices, the examination of vehicles and equipment and the immobilisation, removal, storage and disposal of vehicles. Provisions will also cover arrangements for pursuing debt through the courts and adjudication. We consider that the consultation is of interest specifically to local transport authorities.
