Train and buffer stop

At around 14:50 hrs on 1 April, a passenger train stuck the buffer stops in platform 3C at Preston station. The train was travelling at around 6 mph (10 km/h) and several passengers suffered minor injuries.

We have undertaken a preliminary examination into the circumstances surrounding this accident. Having assessed the evidence which has been gathered to date, we have decided to publish a safety digest.
