UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) Ireland attended and took part in the annual ‘Meet West’ 2 day business networking event in Galway on 20 to 21 November 2014.

Irish companies attending the networking event were able to access advice on growing their business into international markets. Consultation clinics had been developed in response to feedback from previous attendees for specialised advice.

UKTI support for Irish companies

Paul Caplis, Head of Investment, UKTI Ireland attended the event together with Cheryl Dennis, the Trade and Investment advisor for the Welsh Government.

They met with a large number of small and medium size enterprises with UK interests. Advice on the help and support available through the UKTI network for companies interested in growing in the UK market was given to conference participants.

Paul Caplis said,

It is important for us to participate in these annual networking events so that Irish based companies are aware of the services of UK Trade & Investment in Ireland and also how they can benefit from the help, advice and support which UKTI is on hand to provide to Irish companies that are interested in setting up a presence in the UK.

This is the third Meet West event that UKTI has participated in and we are delighted to support such events. In particular, we are glad to be on hand to provide expert help and advice to Irish companies located in the West of Ireland who are looking at the UK as part of growing their international business.
