Universal Credit reaches 20 more jobcentres this week

Universal Credit is now available in 623 jobcentres, helping over a quarter of a million people to find work faster and earn more.

The new system is designed to ensure people will always be better off in work. People claiming Universal Credit are significantly more likely to find employment than those on Jobseeker’s Allowance. For the first time ever, we are also supporting claimants to earn more and progress in their careers.

Today, single jobseekers will be able to claim Universal Credit in:

  • Stockwell
  • Kennington Park
  • Streatham
  • Clapham Common
  • Lewisham
  • Forest Hill
  • Bexleyheath
  • Willenhall
  • Middlesbrough East
  • Middlesbrough
  • Aldershot
  • Alton
  • Bordon
  • Petersfield
  • Farnborough
  • Bilston
  • Wolverhampton, Chapel Court
  • Wolverhampton, Molineux House
