About us
We work across government and beyond to make data better.
The Government Data Quality Hub (DQHub) works to develop and share best practice in data quality.
We do this by:
- providing strategic direction across government
- producing guidance
- delivering training and support
Who we are
The DQHub provides information and support on data quality.
We are based in the Office for National Statistics, but our remit is much broader than the production of statistics.
We work closely with the Data Standards Authority to improve the management of data across the public sector. Our work also contributes to commitments in the National Data Strategy.
Purpose
We aim to improve the quality of data and analysis across government and promote good practice in data quality across wider society.
We do this by:
-
identifying and sharing best practice across government and wider society
-
setting strategic direction across government on data quality
-
developing and publishing guidance
-
building capability in assessing, improving and communicating data quality through training and seminars
-
providing bespoke support and advice across the public sector
