Child Benefit: small area data
Annual geographical estimates at Lower Super Output Area, Super Output Area and Data Zone of the number of families and children claiming Child Benefit on 31 August of the year of analysis.
From the August 2022 publication, the Child Benefit small area data is published as part of the Child Benefit annual release series. This collection page will no longer be updated.
These tables are based on families in receipt of Child Benefit as at 31 August and are consistent with the higher level geographical statistics.
This date was selected because it is the reference date for published tax credit statistics - including, for England and Wales at Lower Super Output Area (LSOA) level, for Northern Ireland at Super Output Area (SOA) level and for Scotland at Data Zone level.
Older statistics are available from The National Archives at: Child Benefit: small area data
