Independent Living Fund

On 6 March 2014, the government announced it would close the ILF on 30 June 2015. From 1 July 2015 responsibility for supporting ILF users in England passed to local authorities. Users in Wales will initially have their awards administered from the Welsh Independent Living Grant. Users in England and Wales should contact their local authority if they need to discuss their care and support arrangements.
