Dudley Ashford
Biography
Dudley joined DVLA in 2003 and was appointed as Interim Strategy, Policy and Communications Director in November 2024.
Career
Dudley started his Civil Service career in the Department for Work and Pensions in 1993, before joining DVLA in 2003. During his time in DVLA he has worked across different directorates and held key roles including Drivers Services Manager, Transformation Programme Manager and Corporate Services Manager.
Dudley has delivered on a range of DVLA’s digital and strategic initiatives including the Driver and vehicles account, fitness to drive medical services, a new suite of tachograph digital services and the ‘view and share driving licence’ service which enables the abolition of the paper counterpart.
