IPCC UK expert nomination: privacy notice

Details

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is a scientific body of the United Nations that draws on the expertise of scientists from around the world to assess the science of climate change. It provides policy makers with:

  • regular scientific assessments on climate change, its implications and potential future risks, and options for adaptation and mitigation
  • assessments and reports which are relevant to policy, politically neutral, not prescriptive, highly influential
  • guidance on the reporting of emissions for consideration in the preparation of national greenhouse gas inventories

At its 49th Session held in May 2019 (in Kyoto, Japan), the IPCC requested that its Task Force on National Greenhouse Gas Inventories (TFI) produce an IPCC Methodology Report on SLCFs following the Appendix A to the Principles Governing IPCC Work (Decision IPCC-XLIX-7).

The call for authors will close at midnight BST on Sunday 8 September 2024.
