The independent evaluation details early-stage impacts of the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) core competition for automotive research and development (R&D) grant funding.

The study considers the APC’s impact on the development of low carbon propulsion technologies and on the performance of firms benefiting from APC grant funding. Reported effects are on R&D activity, employment, turnover, investment, output, and productivity for participants in the first nine rounds of the core competition.
