Details

The African Horse Sickness Control Strategy was developed by a working group chaired by The Horse Trust, and involving the equine industry, research organisations, Defra and the devolved administrations. It guides the reader through African horse sickness legislation in England, Scotland and Wales.

Our strategy is to identify any suspect cases of African horse sickness as quickly as possible, to identify the source of the disease, and to minimise spread of the disease and lead the country back to disease free status.
