Details

This is the first time Public Health England (PHE) Screening has reported on all 3 population antenatal screening programmes together:

  • the fetal anomaly screening programme (FASP)
  • the infectious diseases in pregnancy screening (IDPS) programme
  • the sickle cell and thalassaemia (SCT) screening programme

Antenatal screening covers 17 different conditions and is offered to approximately 700,000 pregnant women in England every year.

This publication also includes data tables for each of the 3 programmes which provide local and regional breakdowns.
