The government is working to improve the cyber security of apps and app stores.
The government published the Code of Practice for app store operators and app developers in December 2022, with an updated version following in October 2023. This research details app developers’ awareness of the Code of Practice on App Security and how they are implementing the principles in the Code.
This research took place from August to November 2023.
