You can use this form to appeal if Natural England serves you a management notice for works on a site of special scientific interest (SSSI).

If possible, send your appeal by email to protected.areas@defra.gov.uk.
You can send your appeal to Defra by post, but it may take longer. If you appeal by post, email protected.areas@defra.gov.uk or call 0208 026 6794 to confirm.
Use this form or write a letter to Defra (including the information requested in the form) to appeal a management notice for works on an SSSI.
